Meditation on Isaiah 26:3

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee. (Isaiah 26:3)

The mind must be at One to be at peace. As separation enters the scene the perfect peace is immediately undercut by thoughts of lack and limitation. These thoughts tend toward affirming the fears and doubts which can seem to consume us. Of course, in reality they do not consume anything. In reality God is the Oneness thru all, and in its presence there can be nothing of an evil or unsettling nature. In the mind which is stayed on Oneness problems are not problems anymore. This is because as soon as Oneness is attained, the mind drops all concern for solving or combating or succumbing to the problems and temptations of this world. The peace that enters the scene unfolds a spiritual universe in the midst of me which is my assurance of my rightful place as an heir of God - indeed as the very substance of God. And this Truthfulness will remain with me as long as I am recognizing it as the very fabric of my being. It is with me even to the end of the Earth.
