The following study practice is designed for those students who already have at least some background with Joel Goldsmith's Infinite Way teaching. My first recommendation would be that you go to the source text or tape where these messages are presented and listen to the original instruction.

The lesson that has been given to us for this period will lead us into the depth of the Christ. The Christ Consciousness is the source of our ultimate awakening. It is the place that we come to when we have exhausted all avenues of human limitation. It is the place we find when the surrender of our human identity becomes real and complete. And it is a place of absolute trust in a something that "we know not". Please read the transcript of the lecture given here from Joel Goldsmith's talk on The Christ - Part One, Part Two, and Part Three. Pay close attention to what is being said and more importantly to that which cannot be said but is conveyed by Joel throughout the three parts of the talk. This lesson is essential for all of us, particularly in the degree that many of us have spent years trying to figure out how to reach God through prayer and meditation. If we are honest with ourselves we will begin to see why many of our efforts have failed. For a lot of us we have believed that we were praying aright when actually we were engaging in prayer much like we would perform any human task that might be presented to us throughout the day. We cannot ever expect to grasp the infinite nature of real Christhood the way that we would traditionally plan a vacation, fix a leaky faucet, or change the oil in our car. The path to the Christ is not a formula that can be repeated with success. The Christ is found only in the degree that we can put away our expectations and be willing for It to reveal Itself without our taking a single thought for what should be. As you read the three parts of the talk be aware of any moment where something is imparted to you in the sense of a feeling or a heightened level of awareness. When a feeling of peace comes upon you it might be wise to stop reading for the time being and just rest back and listen to the openness of the moment. It also might be worthwhile reading the three parts of "The Christ" talk in three separate sittings. As you continue on this path the proper length of time for study and contemplation will be revealed to you. For each individual there will be a different calling. Just as the Christ operates in each and every one of us 24 hours a day so does it give each of us a unique message and mission to carry out during our lifetimes. The important point is to not judge and compare yourself with other people on the path. Rather you can give up all comparisons in the understanding that your role is specific, unique, and differentiated from all other Beings here on Earth. If it were not you can be assured that you would not be here at this time. And you are... There is no more need to put our faith in princes. The time for our awakening is now within us.
